Your order will support the Hawaii Health Foundation, a nonprofit, charitable organization through which Dr. Shintani does much of his work for the community. Checks should be made to: Hawaii Health Foundation. NO tax is charged to Hawaii billing addresses (or to anyone else) on sales through the Hawaii Health Foundation.
PayPal is the only payment processor we use, at this time, if you shop online with us.
Our service provider for this site has a couple of limitations (when shopping online):
1. eBooks must be ordered separately from mail order books. We apologize for the inconvenience. The system is not able to distinguish between the two when they are ordered TOGETHER and will charge shipping & handling for eBooks if they are in the same order as mail order books.
2. After you complete your purchase, if you decide to go through the ordering process again, OR if you get through the ordering process through Step 1, then you change your order, you may find, due to your browser's memory, Step 1 ("Items in your Cart") will show what was on your previous order for Shipping & Handling (if applicable) and Sales Tax (if applicable).
This will automatically be CORRECTED at the next step, AFTER Step 2 ("Ship To"), when you continue with the ordering process.
The CORRECT amount(s) will automatically be shown thereafter, AFTER Step 2 and BEFORE you are asked for any billing information (Step 5 "Bill To"), BEFORE you are asked for payment information (Step 6 "Payment Method") and for the "Final Total."
